Getting started

Fees

The launch fee, the trading fee, and exactly where each part goes.

SpaceMint has two fees. Both are written into the contracts when a token launches, and neither can be changed afterwards.

The launch fee

A flat 0.0005 ETH per launch, paid in the same transaction and sent straight to the foundation wallet. Anything you send above the fee is refunded in the same transaction.

The trading fee

Every pool charges a trading fee on each trade, set in the contract. The launcher does not choose the rate. They choose, once, where it goes:

DestinationFoundationCreator
Foundation1%0.5%
Creator payout0.5%1%

The split is stored on the locker in basis points of the collected fees: 6,667 / 3,333 in Foundation mode (foundation / creator) and 3,333 / 6,667 in Creator payout mode. They always add up to 10,000.

How a fee is collected

Fees build up inside the pool, in the pairing asset on buys and in the launched token on sells. Anyone can press Collect on the token page. The locker pulls the fees out and pays the creator and the foundation directly in that same transaction. No liquidity moves.

The token page shows the fees pending (earned but not yet collected), what has been collected, and what each side received.

Example

Someone buys 1 ETH of a token. The pool takes 0.015 ETH. In Foundation mode the foundation can collect about 0.01 ETH and the creator about 0.005 ETH. In Creator payout mode it is the other way around.
