Launch a token
Every field on the launch form, and what each one does on-chain.
The launch page is one form and one transaction. Nothing happens on-chain until you sign.
The details
| Field | What it is |

| Name | 1 to 32 characters. Any language. Shown everywhere the token appears. |
| Symbol | 1 to 10 letters (A to Z) or digits, published in uppercase. |
| Description | Up to 280 characters. Optional. Editable later by the creator. |
| Image | A square logo. Optional, but tokens with a logo get traded. Editable later. |
| Website and X | Optional https links. Editable later. |
Name and symbol are recorded on-chain and cannot change. The description, image and links are kept by SpaceMint and the creator can edit them from My profile with a wallet signature.
The terms
- Priced in: what the token trades against. See Pairs.
- Starting market cap: where the price opens. See Starting market cap.
- Fee destination: Foundation (foundation 1%, creator 0.5%) or Creator payout (creator 1%, foundation 0.5%). See Fees.
- First buy: optional. A second transaction right after the launch confirms. If you skip it or reject it, the launch still stands.
What you pay
The launch fee (0.0005 ETH) plus network gas. The form reads the fee from the contract and keeps it, and the gas it needs, out of your first buy.
